While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice for ICAR AIEEA 2025. The efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their ICAR AIEEA 2025 application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city or nearby area may be allotted.

Those who are Indian Nationals and are not below 19 years as of August 31, 2026, are eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is acceptable about the minimum age limit. Students must check out the eligibility criteria of the exam before they apply for it.

The in-service candidates will qualify for admission only if they come in the overall merit list of their concerned Subjects and produce the Sponsorship Certificate/Declaration by their employer for verification at the time of counselling.
The in-service candidates must be working in ICAR Institutes, ICAR-DUs, SAUs, CAUs, CUs having faculty of agriculture, Central Government/State Government Departments dealing in Agriculture and Allied Sectors and Public Sector Undertakings dealing with Agriculture and Allied Sectors.

Candidates reporting for admission through ICAR AIEEA Exam, to the allotted university must have final year/final semester results in hand indicating final OGPA/CGPA or final percentage of marks where grade points are not awarded. Candidates will be required to produce a Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) /Degree certificate of qualifying graduate examination issued by the university for this purpose. The candidates should note that the university may deny admission in case the PDC is not produced at the time of verification during counselling. No correspondence shall be entertained by the Council in this regard.

There is no provision for direct nomination for admission through ICAR in any Master’s degree programme without qualifying in the ICAR AIEEA (PG) examination.

For postgraduate studies, the ICARPG Scholarship shall be awarded to limited candidates based on merit in this examination as per their overall merit rank and seat availability in different disciplines. Also, the eligible admitted students may be awarded NTS(PG).

The ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2025 examination will be conducted in 89 cities across the country. To enable participation of a large number of candidates seeking admission in Master's degree programmes in AUs in different disciplines of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Veterinary, Animal Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Community Science (erstwhile Home Science), Fisheries, Dairy Science and other allied sciences.

Students for 30 percent of seats in Master's degree programmes in AUs are admitted through AIEEA (PG). All (100 per cent) seats of the four ICAR-DUs namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) and CAUs, viz. RLBCAU, Jhansi and Dr RPCAU, Pusa are also filled up through the same examination.

Candidates should ensure that all information entered during the online registration process is correct because if the online information provided by candidates like name of candidate, contact/address details, category, PwBD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc., during online registration for AIEEA (PG) will be treated as correct/final and NTA will not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for change in the information provided by the candidates.
