IELTS

GRE and PTE/IELTS are both requirements for any form of study you wish to pursue. GRE is basically a test for the university to guage whether the person applying for an admission possesses the bas=re minimum knowledge required of a person to enroll under a course. IELTS and PTE are 2 types of English proficiency testis where the prior is recognised more than the latter. However, in case of a proper work opportunity, you would still require IELTS as the English Proficiency test. With the recent changes, the score barrier has gone up and certain people find it difficult to achieve the same. A better alterative would be to enroll in some form of study which would then allow you to scale up to a PR and a job opportunity in Canada. One of the interesting one's that I recently encountered is this Study & Work programme where you basically get to do a course while earning part-time and once you finish the course, you can work full time for about 6 months.
