You can pursue further studies in engineering or think about a management degree. You may also consider a PG in engineering management. Hi Dhanusha, an IELTS score will not necessarily grant you work permit though it is a requirement. Work permit rules are different with countries and you must meet a lot of requirements. But firstly you must be offered a job by an employer. Unless you are qualified and have some work experience chances will be slim. IELTS is a visa requirement. Also when you say permanently, no you cannot, you have to apply for a PR which is again a different process, and to apply for a PR you must have worked in the foreign country for many years and meet the requirements of a resident. Hi Nizam, every college requires either TOEFL or IELTS, in case you fail to have one of these test scores they may offer you a pathway programme in English. If the English language test can be waived off completely will depend on the college. Check this link and contact the colleges directly

It can be beneficial under certain conditions say, if you are currently working and looking for a growth within your organization. Hi Jayanti Sagar,It will depend on your programme level and the university's admission requirements. Generally, the chances are very slim that you will get admission only on basis of IELTS. You must also see which colleges prefer IELTS, since TOEFL is the widely accepted one in USA. If you are applying for Bachelor's degree then SAT or ACT is compulsory. If you are applying for PG courses, then GRE or GMAT is compulsory and under no circumstances, they will be waived unless you are applying to such a programme, which may not require these tests. You should start visiting university websites for admission requirements.
