IIT Allahabad offers various courses in the field of Science and engineering such as B.Tech, B.Sc, BA, ME, MSC, BBA, B.Com, PHD. The IIT Allahabad College has a good placement record. The College has ample internship opportunities for the students and also provides in-campus placement to their students. The Placement rate of the college lies between 80%. The domestic package offered by the IIT Allahabad for B.Tech students ranges from 50 LPA. The highest Placement was 102 LPA and the average Placement was 40 LPA. According to NIRF 2023, IIIT Allahabad is ranked 89th out of the best engineering colleges in India, whereas MNNIT Allahabad is ranked 49th. In contrast to MNNIT Allahabad, which earned a placement rate of 95.4% for its BTech placements in 2022, IIIT Allahabad recorded 100% placements during its BTech placements. Additionally, INR 102.50 LPA was the highest compensation awarded during the IIIT Allahabad BTech jobs in 2022. The maximum package offered by MNNIT Allahabad for the same was INR 135 LPA in 2023. During the IIITA 2022 placements, the highest package offered to an M.Tech student was INR 1.4 crore per annum as per the media reports. The highest package was offered by Google. NIRF has also ranked IIIT Allahabad at 93rd position under the Engineering category. However, both institutes are good options for M.Tech aspirants.

IIITA offers a four-year BTech as its flagship course. The UG-level programme is available in five specialisations, including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), and IT (Business Informatics). Additionally, ECE and IT specialisations are also offered under the flexible academic programme.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, which was established in 1999, is a recognised university and is, in fact, a government college. IIIT Allahabad is recognised by the Government of India as an 'Institute of National Importance' and is recognised by the AICTE.
