The IIIT fee structure includes costs like one-time charges and deposits that are repaid at the end of the programme. Except for deposits, one-time deposits, and various other refundable costs, fees are paid each semester. The IIT fee structure's breakdown pattern is hence consistent for each semester. Most universities exempt the SC/ST category to pay the fees.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhagalpur is known as an Institute of National Importance under the Act of Parliament. The last year's 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechatronics Engineering at IIIT Bhagalpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology other than the General category are - 82739 for OBC, 194161 for SC, 407990 for ST, 70166 for EWS, and 2328 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 39641, and the closing rank was 68306. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state.
