Admissions at IIITDM Kancheepuram for the MDes course is decided on the candidates performance in the CEED entrance exam. To be eligible to appear for the CEED entrance exam, candidates need to have at least 60% marks in their bachelor's degree and fill out an online application form from the official website of the university.

For admission to the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram M.Tech course, candidates must have passed BE/BTech in the relevant subject with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% aggregate. For IIITDM Kancheepuram BTech admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 (Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology as an optional subject) with at least 75% aggregate. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates are also required to appear for the JEE Main entrance test, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram BTech fee is INR 5.28 lakh. The fee mentioned here is the total tuition fee and is calculated on the basis of 1st semester. Hence, is indicative. Apart from the mentioned tuition fee, candidates also need to pay a one-time fee of INR 5,000. One-time payment includes the admission fee, certificate/ thesis fee, student welfare fee, infrastructure development fee, alumni life membership fee, publication fee/ library fee and cultural fee.

The cutoff trend for BTech ME at IIITDM Kancheepuram has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 57606. In 2022, it increased to 59743. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 84625 to 72894 for OBC, 174819 to 146773 for SC, 201006 to 240679 for ST, 71518 to 79457 for EWS, 38228 to 1436 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 14806 and closing rank was 19453. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 20125 and 24924. Admission to BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) in IIITDM Kancheepuram is based on the scores obtained in the JEE entrance exam. Candidates are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

IIITDM Kancheepuram BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, cut off 2022 was 17272 for General category candidates in All India quota. For the female candidates in General category under All India quota, 23502 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
