IIM Calcutta direct admissions are possible for some courses. These courses don't require entrance examination scores for admissions. Few of them are certificate courses and others. For other PG programmes offered at IIM Calcutta, candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM Calcutta.

For admission to IIM Calcutta for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Calcutta admission.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) at IIM Calcutta, the CAT test is scheduled on November 30, 2025. Aspirants of IIM Calcutta are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam will be held in three slots:
- Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
- Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

Yes, CAT 2023 dates for admission to IIM Calcutta are out. To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The 2023 CAT form have to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. For 2023 CAT exam, CAT registration will go on between Aug 2 and Sep 20. The exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Students are required to appear for the CAT 2023 exam in Computer Based Testing mode at allotted test centres.
