All are benefited in some way or the other; there is no clear line as such. The person with work experience gets to widen their horizon of experience by being able to connect with a rich variety of resources. You need at least 90%. This is the least for getting a good call. For converting and making into a good IIM, you need 90+ percentile

Dear,
To get a seat in IIMs you have to clear CAT exam with 90 percentile above. Therefore, prepare for CAT exam, do hard work and you will get a seat. Your credentials comes secondary after getting great percentile in CAT.

Hi,
you will get call only on the basis of CAT score say 90 percentile or above.
Academics is considered only after getting a call for the purpose of admission.
Having work experience is a good thing to get a weightage during admission stages.
