Though SOM is much higher in ranking, placements, as well as legacy, an absolute comparison between two colleges is generally a bad idea. You have to decide what you want from your MBA and which school is better equipped to give you that. Here are two articles which will tell you a lot about why SJMSOM is special, rest of the decision is up to you:

These are the final WL conversion trends for last year.
GLWL-551 – GLWL- 630
OBWL-284-OBWL - 324
DAWL- 33-DAWL- 38
SCWL-1-SCWL-90

There is no chance to convert IIMU. Sorry to break your heart.

The placement percentage is throughout 100% since first batch. Some people drop out of the placements to start their own ventures.

Study hard and give your best in CAT. Don't force yourself too much and keep calm while giving the exam.

I think if your CAT percentile is around 65%, you would be on safe side.
Best of luck

Firstly the question arise is whether you can clear the CAT or not. Secondly once you clear the cutoff for IIMU. You can very well get a chance for WAT/PI. With your profile its very difficult to predict your chances as you don't have CAT score.

Yes you are equally eligible. There is nothing like pre-cutoff for writing CAT. Once you get percentile score and depending upon your past achievements the call has to be made whose weightage differs for different IIMs.

The cutoff for WAT/PI call differs every year. From past two years, the cutoff is near around 97 percentile. Eyeing the latest rank released by MHRD and IIMU being ranked 5th, there is expectation in increase of cutoff.
