For actuall seat intake you need to visit the institute or need to check the intake in the college website. Currently ,the total seat intake is 320 for both MS and BS which is the highest among all branches of IISERs. So, around 180 seats mught be there for B.sc students.

No, you cannot join IISER Thiruvananthapuram - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research directly. There are certain processes you need to follow. For UG :There are only three modes of admission: Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology and State and Central Boards Channel (SCB). Out of these whichever you feel the most appropriate, you can go with that option to take admissions.

Indian Institutes of Science, Education, and Research (IISERs) have gained a reputation for their exceptional contributions to chemistry. The institute is known for its strong chemistry departments and research programs including all the important biology aspects. At IISER Thiruvananthapuram, each program has unique strengths and opportunities for students.

However, B.S. in Physical Sciences + M.S. in Physical Sciences and B.S. in Biological Science + M.S. in Biological Science are considered to be the best courses provided by the institute.

The institute aims to provide high quality education in modern science, integrating it with outstanding research at the undergraduate level. BSc might be also good option here to study and fees is affordable but there are minimum students who are getting placed so there is a big competetion to get a good placements.

All of the seven branches are considered equal. However, according to the Nature Index, the Pune campus ranked 7th, Bhopal 11th, Mohali 13th, and Thiruvananthapuram 14th. All IISERs are known for their excellent faculty, laboratory facilities, and quality of education they provide.

IISER- Thiruvananthapuram - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research has a good campus life and facilities. The institute offers 12 courses in the Science stream. The college has a nice infrastructure and a wifi-enabled campus. The courses offered in IISER are research-oriented and hence not fit for recruitment by IT/professional companies. Hence the institute doesn't have a proper placement cell.

Studying in IISER Thiruvanthapuram is not costly as fees is very affordable as compared to other ones. M.Sc fees is around INR 38-48k and P.hd fees is around INR 50 K -55K annually which is a good rate for all students to study. Moreover, institute is providing good education facilities from highly skilled faculty members and there are placement opportunities for students after completion of their course.

From my perspective each IISER functions independently in terms of their course. The facilities provided might be different in both IISER. Rest there is no comparisons in subjects beacause Science remains everywhere.Currently, IISER'S are relatively new compared to other Science institutions in the country, which are well established and developed and so you have to decide which IISER you are comfortable with.
