In 2022, the cut off was 9074 for General category candidates in all India quota for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates of General category under the all India quota, 17941 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/ quota of the applicant.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Bhubaneswar has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 13875. In 2022, it increased to 14970. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 5260 to 5316 for OBC, 2712 to 2538 for SC, 2712 to 1357 for ST, 2053 to 2248 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories, however, the ranks are slightly different.

Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 18693 and 18693. Admission to B.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 740 to 859 for OBC, 439 to 366 for SC, 291 to 204 for ST, 292 to 355 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course
Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering + M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 5008 for OBC, 2628 for SC, 2050 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
