IIT Bhubaneswar is a second-generation IIT. IIT Bhubaneswar has been ranked by various international and national ranking bodies. The institute is ranked 39 in the Engineering category by the NIRF 2025. The university was established in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, as one of the eight new IITs. The School of Electrical Sciences offers BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The school also offers two dual-degree programs. Candidates should secure more than 90 percentiles to get admission to IIT Bhubaneswar for all undergraduate (UG) courses. In terms of ranks, students should get a rank below 2,500 in order to secure a seat at IIT Bhubaneswar. JoSAA has released the final cut-off rank for 2023 for all the UG courses offered at IIT Bhubaneswar. In Round 6, BTech CSE was the top course with the highest rank of 3101.
