IIT Dhanbad (ISM) - Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Ranking

IIT Dhanbad JAM cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various PG courses. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India quota. For admission to MSc in Physics, the cutoff in respect to the General All India category candidates was closed at 576. For the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff for the same course was closed at 973. For SC AI category candidates, the cutoff was closed at 2257. 

IIT Dhanbad has consistently been acknowledged by the NIRF 2023 as one of the best institutes in all significant categories over the years. When comparing the institute's ranking to that of the prior year, variations have been observed in the 'Management Institutes' category. In the 'Management Institutes' category, IIT Dhanbad rose two spots to #44 in 2023 according to the NIRF rating. For the third year in a row, IIT Dhanbad placed among the top 50 in the nation for the 'Management Institutes' category in 2023. IIT Dhanbad placed in the top 50 nationwide for the third year in a row in the 'Overall' category in 2023.

IIT Dhanbad has been ranked in the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education 2024. As per QS World University 2024 Rankings, it is ranked 73rd in Sourthern Asia and 301-350 in Asia. Additionally, Times Higher Education has ranked the institute in 601-800 range.
