IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology Cut-off

For students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota, the maximum cutoff rank required was 3160 in 2025 for BTech admission at IIT Madras. Candidates can refer to the table below to view the B.Tech. branch-wise cutoff details for the last round. 

IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released up to Round 6 for B.Tech. admission across different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. Students can refer to the table below to view the cutoff range across different categories. 

For the General AI quota, the IIT Madras CSE cutoff 2025 stood at 171 in the first round. Till the last round, the cutoff remained the same, indicating all seats got filled after the first round of the JEE Advanced cutoff. For IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, the CSE cutoff ranks were closed at 126 and 66, respectively, for the same category. So, considering the cutoff ranks, the IIT Madras cutoff for CSE was comparatively less competitive for admission among the Engineering aspirants as compared to that of IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay.

The IIT Madras B.S. in Medical Sciences and Engineering is perhaps one of the new programs that seek to blend medical sciences and engineering into one. The admission to this program will be through the JEE Advanced examination, and the candidate should also fulfill eligibility criteria as well as have to contend with cutoffs according to his rank.
