The average package recorded during IIT Madras M.Tech placements 2025 for branch such as CS and EE was 29 LPA and 24.4 LPA.

Median package received during IIT Madras MTech placements 2025 for branch such as CS and EE was 24.6 LPA and 22.1 LPA. In AE, BT, CH and CE branch, it was between 8 LPA and 18 LPA.

Average package received during IIT Madras BTech placements 2025 for CS, EE and CH branch was 53.2 LPA, 28.8 LPA and 18.8 LPA. In CE, ME and AE branch, it was between 16.9 LPA and 17.5 LPA.

The Indian Institute of Madras is spread across 617 acres of land. IIT Madras has developed a low-cost chip device. This device is meant to detect the antibiotic resistance in just 3 hours. There are several technical fests arranged in this college, such as Shaastra, Saarang, etc. The Centre for Innovation (CFI) has 12 clubs & 4 competition teams. The members represent the college internationally in various competitions.

Madras IIT admissions are considered a little tough as it is one of the top IITs present in India. For the IIT Madras BTech departments like EE, CS & CH, the average package noticed was 28.8 LPA, 53.2 LPA, 17.5 LPA. The college recorded decent placement statistics.

No, to get admission into IIT Madras MTech course, students have to appear for the GATE exam. This is a part of minimum eligibility criteria for M.Tech course admissions. After clearing the GATE exam, the students are selected on the basis of merit list. The students have to obtain a minimum of 60% in their UG course to be eligiblr for admisison.
