Yes, students can join IIT Madras without the JEE Main scores but the student will have to change the choice of the course. Students can go for MBA courses. For majority of technical courses, JEE Main exam scores are required. Candidates must know their eligibility criteria and apply accordingly. Follow the IIT Madras application process mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras IIT Madras to register for the JEE Main exam.

Step 2: Appear for the JEE Main exam.

IIT Madras offers PhD and MS (by Research) programmes to students. The Science, Engineering, Humanities, and Management departments together with the Research Centres of IIT Madras are equipped with various excellent laboratories and facilities for conducting these programmes.

IIT Madras accepted entrance exams include JEE Advanced,  JEE Main, and others. Candidates getting admission through the accepted entrance exams must prepare in advance for the entrance exams. Study as many question papers as possible. Study the mock tests and hence get preapred to face the competition.

Some of the top recruiters at IIT madras include JP Morgan Chase, Texas Instruments, Adobe, and others. According to media reports,  1,091 students were placed in phase I and phase II in the past year placements. More than 80% of BTech/ Dual Degree and 75% of Master degree students have been placed till last year. In addition to this, out of 300 PPOs offered, 235 were accepted.

The mode of IIT Madras course admissions is online. IIT Madras admission to various programmes is done through national-level entrance exams including JEE MainJEE Advanced,  IIT JAM and GATE, among others. For admission to the flagship BTech programmes, candidates are selected based on valid JEE-Advanced ranks followed by the JoSAA counselling process. After the successful completion of the counselling process, various candidates are selected for the final seat allotment.
