In 2025, the IIT Palakkad CSE cutoff was relatively less competitive for admission as compared to that of IIT Tirupati and IIT Goa for students belonging to the General AI quota. The CSE cutoff ranged between 4620 and 5034 for IIT Tirupati, while for IIT Goa, it ranged from 5626 to 6242. For IIT Palakkad, the cutoff ranks were between 5736 and 6454 for CSE admission in the General category.

Yes, you will get CSE at IIT Palakkad with a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of 6000 if you belong to the General AI quota. However, you have to wait till the last round, as the cutoff ranks are generally higher in the initial rounds. For the unreserved category, the IIT Palakkad CSE cutoff 2025 was 5736 in the first round, which is competitive for admission. In the last round, the cutoff rank closed at 6454. Therefore, the probability of you getting CSE with a 6000 rank is high in the last round, only for admission. Please note that the cutoff ranks vary every year for each round. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. During the IIT Palakkad JAM cutoff 2025, the first round closing ranks varied between 478 and 609 for General AI category students. Of all the MSc specialisations, the most competitive was the MSc in Mathematics.
