Students interested to get admission to IIT Roorkee BSc courses are required to appear for the qualifying examination which is JEE Advanced. The registrations for the said exam are now live. Students who have qualified JEE Main are eligible to register for the exam. The last date to register is usually First Week of May for fee payment.

In order to be eligible to apply for BSc at IIT Roorkee, candidate must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75%. Moreover, interested students must qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced exam. Admissions to IIT Roorkee BSc courses will be made based on merit in JEE Main+ JEE advanced and seat availability intake of IIT Roorkee.

The total tuition fees for BSc courses at IIT ranges between INR 8 Lacs to INR 10 Lacs for course duration of four-five years, as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative. Apart from this tuition fees, the college also charges students for few more components mentioned below.
- Hostel Fees - INR 7,500
- Onetime payment - INR 6,000
- Mess Charges- INR 26,250

IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee are all premier colleges of India offering BSc courses. Admissions to all these colleges are made based on scores in JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced. Not getting into IIT Roorkee or any other top IIT should not be considered an end to a student’s career. While IIT Roorkee average package is INR 17 LPA for its 2023 placements batch, can IIT Roorkee guarantee the same for each and every student of the batch? The answer is no. What truly matters is a student’s dream to pursue a career in Engineering and as long as they are ready to work on their learning and are focused towards achieving their goal, they must not feel defeated in case of not getting into IIT Roorkee.
