MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates belonging to General, GEN-EWS and OBC category must have secured at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale at the qualifying degree level; Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD category must have secured 55% or- S, 50 CGPA on a 10 point scale. IIT Roorkee MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for the Last Round. As per the cutoff released, the top courses are M.Sc. in Applied Geology, M.Sc. in Economics, and M.Sc. in Mathematics. Wherein, MSc in Applied Geology was the most competitive course with the cutoff score of 232. Considering the Last Round cutoff, the required rank needed would be varied from 52 to 232 for getting admission at IIT Roorkee.

IIT Roorkee MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein, M.Sc. in Economics is the most competitive specialisation with a closing rank of 27 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive MSc course is JAM a cutoff rank of 210. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the MSc course must secure a rank upto 210 to be eligible for IIT Gandhinagar.
IIT Roorkee admission to the MSc course is based on IIT JAM scores, followed by IIT JAM counselling process. Only candidates in the JAM 2024 Merit List based on JAM 2024 scorecard will be eligible to apply for admission.

IIT Roorkee is one of the best college for B.Tech. Yes, the college is a good choice for B.Tech as the faculty of the college is also well educated and has friendly behavior towards the students. The college also offers good placement to the students the college has a good campus area and provides campus placement at a high placement rate of about 88% and the Hostel Facilities are also very good. The hostel has AC Facilities and, Wi-Fi facilities also. The mess food of the Hostel is also very good in taste. The College also provides Summer Internship to the students.

Eligibility: a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Entrance Exam: CAT is required. There's no minimum score specified, but aiming for a high percentile.
Alternate Option for IIT Graduates: If you're an IIT graduate with a CGPA of 7 or above on a 10-point scale, you're exempted from the CAT requirement. You'll be directly called for the selection process (if applicable).

The Computer Science Engineering stream at IIT Roorkee is extremely popular among students. The flagship programme at IIT Roorkee is BTech CSE. IIT Roorkee offers six specialisations under its BSc programme. These specialisations are spread across various fields of studies such as Physics, Mathematics, Computing, Chemistry and more. The course duration for the BSc courses is four years. The college also offers a five-year Integrated BSc+MSc programme for students willing to pursue a PG integrated course.
