Yes, if you have qualified in JEE Advanced 2023 or JEE Main 2023 and want to secure admission to the participating institutions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs), it is mandatory to register for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. JoSAA is responsible for the centralized counselling and seat allocation process for all the participating institutes based on the rank obtained by the candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 or JEE Main 2023. The entire admission process, including the allocation of seats, acceptance of seats, and reporting to the allotted institute, is done through JoSAA.

There are 2 criteria for NITs, IIITs, IITs, and GFTIs. First: You need to have at least 75% in your respective board exam. Second: You need to meet the top 20 percentile criteria.
