Yes, you can get admission in any government college. Some are based on merit, some require clearance of their entrance examinations.

The IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology) do not offer admission to B.Tech/B.E. Courses through lateral entry. There is no provision for admission to ITI/Diploma holders in IITs wherein they could be able to get direct entry into the second year of the 4 year degree programme. So, for a student who has completed an ITI/Diploma in engineering and aspires to pursue further studies from one of the top engineering institutes in India, I. e. IIT, the option that remains is through a general pathway through which 10+2 pass-out proceeds, through JEE Advanced. Students who graduated or graduating from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and National Institute of Technology (NIT) with a Bachelor of Technology (B.E. /B.Tech) Degree and have a CGPA of 8.0 (on a scale of 10) and above can apply without GATE Score or other than that they have to give the written test and will have to face a Personal Interview . Yes, you can get an IIT with a good GATE score. However, there is no set minimum Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE score for the IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology). Every year the GATE Cutoff Marks for each IIT institute are different. Considering the previous year's cutoff, the student must have a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering rank of 200 or less. Furthermore, students can enroll in the Indian Institutes of Technology if their rank is between 600 and 800. For example:
