Ranking in preparatory course has no relevance in getting admission in IIT. You need to appear for JEE Advanced and obtain ranking. NIT upper branch would be equally good to IITs. It depends on your interest and specializations which relevant for future. NIT is also a brand as IIT. If you see the NIRF engineering rank some NITs are above IITs.

If you get a CSE seat in the NIT trichy then go for it. Next IIIT Hyderabad. After that IITs like Tirupati.
