A high percentile in JEE Main improves your chances of securing a seat in prestigious NITs, IIITs, and government-funded technical institutions. However, for admission into IITs specifically, clearing JEE Advanced is mandatory after qualifying JEE Main. If your percentile is in the top five percent nationally, you are likely eligible for JEE Advanced. For other government engineering colleges, a percentile above ninety-five is generally sufficient for competitive branches. Keep an eye on individual institute cutoffs and counselling procedures under JoSAA or respective state boards.

Although IITs are renowned for BTech and M.Tech courses, the institutes have recently started offering quality education in MA courses too. MA from IIT has quickly become a popular choice among the students. The minimum eligibility criteria for IIT MA is a bachelor's degree in any discipline after a 10+2 from a recognised board, and a minimum aggregate of 55% or more.

There is no quota available for the candidates willing to apply with female gender, however, they can apply through unreserved quota, the IIT Bhilai JAM cutoff 2025 for the General AI quota stood between 589 and 708.
