Hi Latha,
Last year, SPECIAL ROUND 2017 was conducted.
CSAB SPECIAL ROUND will be conducted only for NITs, IIITs and CFTIs was held for those candidates who were not allotted in JoSAA Counselling or who couldn't fill up choice entry but have valid JEE Main Scores. If seats goes vacant then there will be possibility of conducting SPECIAL ROUND. In due course of JoSAA Counselling it will be notified whether the SPECIAL ROUND will be conducted this year or not, if seat goes vacant.
NOTE : If seat goes vacant even after 7th Round of JoSAA Counselling then SPECIAL ROUND may be conducted.

After JEE Advanced, the procedure is quite simple! Just wait for the results to come. Once the results are out, there will befilling up of choices online. Then comes the mock seat allocation, in this process you will get to know which seat you will get according to your preferences. Then you will have 1 day time to change your choices if you want. Then the first round seat allocation takes place. Now comes the main part, document verification. You need to go to the nearest IIT and get your documents verified. If all your documents are verified, then your seat will be confirmed. Congrats.

Almost all IITs allow students to do their Ph.D. of course there will be some criteria for selection. I suggest you approach any IIT and seek help. They will be more than willing to help you.

For B.Arch courses in IIT they take exams after JEE Advanced almost a week after which is conducted by IIT center for the exam is near by zonal IITs only.

Cutoffs are originally decided based on the toughness of examination and the number of seat availables in NITS and IITS, and number of candidates applied. It is decided after registration of examination.
