Hello Kunal,
Guwahati is perhaps the best place for a student from Assam to prepare for JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced for getting admission in either NIT or IIT.

Hello Shocky,
Yes, you would be eligible for IIT even if you take more than one attempt to clear your 12th but have managed to score more than 75% provided and of course that you meet DOB and other criteria too.

You have to score 200 and above in JEE Mains to get admission in IIT colleges.
For good IITs, nearly 300 marks or above is required.

No minimum weightage is there to enter in NIT or IIT. You need to score a minimum of 75 percent marks to appear for JEE Mains exam.

Hello Mohit,
You need to do marine engineering. For this, either CET of your state or JEE Mains are the requirements. Of course, you need to score enough in class 12th to qualify.
Best wishes.

Hello Ajay,
For admission in IITs you need to appear for JEE Advanced. For appearing in JEE Advanced you need to score more than cutoff in JEE Mains. I think you have scored less than the required cutoff and hence not eligible for JEE Advanced and hence not eligible for IIT Allahabad.

India is emerging as the educational hub due to its best colleges, faculties and fees structure. There are many engineering colleges other than IITs that are very popular colleges and have good placement records with some of them have option of scholarship too.
You can consider the below mentioned options:
1. UEM – Jaipur.
2. UEM – Rajashthan.
3. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS).
4. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
5. MIT (Madras Institute of Technology), etc.

If you want to get admission in good IITs and NITs , you will have to score nearly 300 marks in JEE Mains exam. Then, you have to appear for JEE Advanced exam. If you will get good marks in both exams, you will get really a very good IITs and NITs.
Same advise for IIST. JEE Mains and Advanced exams are required to get admission in IIST.
