Hi Tom,
Well in Architecture the most critical aspect is the environment in which it is studied.
1.in IIT's Architecture is just a department, whereas CEPT ahemdabad and SPA Delhi are architecture schools where only architecture and design based programs are taught.
2. Curriculum wise IIT's are more focused on technical stuff, like building mechanics, function etc, while other architecture schools like SPA's, AoA, JJ and CEPT are more concentrated over design methodology and philosophies of building design.
3. In major Architectural competitions, IIT's usually don't stand a chance. Because all or most of them are like, they gave JEE, did

Hi Reshu,
If you are planing to go on core stream, campus placements for naval architectures might seem poor compared to other branches in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Do consider the following options. The list is not exhaustive.
Go for apping. This might seem audacious.Consider this option if you have high CG / good projects / recommendations and budget for higher studies.
Doing a PhD is also a choice although very few prefer it.
Join in some shipyard, almost all shipyards take in naval architectures but don't expect white collar jobs and high pays.Shipyards generally buy designs from other companies and they employ freshers fro

Hi Gunjan,
JEE Main Paper 2 is conducted for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. JEE Mains paper 2 is based on both drawing and maths skills , it has a math section (level is same as the jee mains paper 1) and a sketching and 3D interpretation section. The rank you obtain in paper 2 is independent of the paper 1 rank. The exam, like the paper 1 is conducted by CBSE and helps you secure an admission in SPAs ( School of Planning and Architecture) and the B.Arch courses in NITs. ( SPA Delhi is considered the best in the country).
NATA is a compulsory Exam conducted by the Counc
