The following are the special categories for admission: Kashmir Migrant (KM), Mewat Area Residents (MAR), Haryana Government School Topper (HGST), Shivalik Development Board (SDB), Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW). Check below in detail: HSTES Kashmir Migrant Seats: The number of seats under this scheme is 5% of the sanctioned intake of each course. The seats will be supernumerary in nature and will be filled separately on the basis of inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination. HSTES BE/B.Tech Tuition Fee Waiver: Under this scheme, those candidates will be eligible whose parents annual income is less than eight Lacs from all sources. Seats under this category shall be supernumerary in nature, and up to a maximum of 5% of "Approved Intake" per Course shall be available for admission. The supernumerary seats will be available only to such courses in an institution where a minimum of 30% of the "Approved Intake" is filled. HSTES Haryana Government School Topper (HGST) Seats: These seats in each branch will be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit in Class 12. 

The overall difficulty level of Andhra Pradesh ICET exam is moderate, as per the Andhra Pradesh ICET 2026 question paper analysis.

1. The Communication Ability section is usually easy to attempt with a 70-marks weightage. 

2. The Analytical Ability section is also Moderate in difficulty, with a total score weightage of 75 marks.

3. In comparison to other exams, the Mathematical Ability section includes formula based questions, hence the difficulty level of this section is easy to moderate if the candidate is prepared properly. The weightage of this section sis 55 marks.

The filling up of choices and locking of choices for online centralized off-campus counselling for HSTES 2024 for Round 1 will begin soon on the offiical website. Therefore, eligible candidates will get the chance to participate in HSTES 2024 counselling as per the scheduled date. The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) will announce the Haryana B.Tech. 2024 second round of seat allotment result on the official website. Candidates will be able to check their HSTES seat allotment result in an online mode. The seat allotment for HSTES 2024 will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in JEE Main. The authorities announced the HSTES counselling dates on the official website. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be able to download a provisional seat allotment letter in which the institute name, branch allotted to the candidate, allotment status, and reporting duration will be mentioned. The candidate needs to download the HSTES provisional allotment letter and report to the allotted institute between the specified reporting dates for admission. The HSTES 2024 merit list will be released on its official website. The merit list for HSTES 2024 will be released separately for all categories in online mode. The merit list will be based on the previous qualifying examination or entrance examination. Candidates will be selected on the merit list for admission in the B.Tech. Programme. Candidates have to log in using their course and roll number to check the merit list. With the help of the merit list, candidates who are registered will be able to check whether they are eligible for the counselling session or not. It is here to be noted that if two candidates have the same score or marks after the respective weightage of NATA or JEE Main Paper-II and qualifying examination that is 10+2, then the candidate's date of birth will be considered.
