The relief provided is fixed up to an amount of INR 3,00,000 to students achieving more than 170 marks in their 10+2 examinations.

The concessions offered by JNNIE Thiruvallur as part of the Alamelu Scholarship includes tuition fees, transportation costs, and food charges. Admissions for the Engineering courses (BE, BTech) at JNNIE Chennai are based on the merit system. Candidates must acquire not less than 55% marks in their 12th qualifying examinations. Also, they are required to appear for the counselling sessions of the TNEA process. For admissions into the MBA programs at JNNIR Thiruvallur, candidates must appear and qualify the TANCET exam. Applicants must note that separate 12th level qualifications exist for special categories of students like BC, MBC, SC/ST etc.
