With the marks you are mentioning, you are definitely eligible to appear for GUJCET exam. There are many colleges in Gujarat that offer CSE course. In the absence of any mandatory ranking, it's very difficult to rank these colleges. However, to help students, Shiksha has made efforts and listed colleges.

A student can appear for improvement examination in the same board where he/she had appeared in the first attempt and not from any other board. Therefore, in your case, you can appear for improvement examination from Gujarat State Board and not from CBSE. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Until 2015, it was possible to take direct admission in most of the private engineering colleges in India without appearing for any entrance examination. However, 2016 onwards, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) has made it mandatory to have a valid score in the respective entrance examination for every student, regardless of whether you take admission via counselling or direct admission.
