The general BA Economics programme is just different from the BA Economics (Hons) programme because the former provides general knowledge of economics, and the latter is more specialised as it focuses on advanced topics with a research-oriented approach.

In Gujarat, BA Economics programs are offered by colleges such as St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad, MSU Baroda, Sardar Patel University, Gujarat University, and SNDT University. This would prove to be a good third option for students to have a look at while aiming for planning studies in Karnataka.

OBC candidates in Kerala often have a lower cutoff for admission to the B.Sc. Agriculture programme than those in the general category, though this might vary by college and year. For instance, in the past, in order to be eligible for admission, an OBC candidate may have needed to receive 380 or higher on the ICAR exam.
