No, there is no change in IIFT syllabus for the 2024 exam. The exam will have the same pattern and subjects as per the IIFT 2024 exam, i.e. Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. Candidates can start their exam preparation from March onwards to be able to cover the entire syllabus for the exam. 

The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension section of IIFT exam has maximum weightage. It carries 35 questions and 105 marks. There is negative marking of -1 in this section. The IIFT entrance exam is conducted in about 63 cities across India. Candidates can select up to four cities in the application for test centre allotment. The IIFT test centre will be allotted to every candidate in the first city of preference. Candidates have to upload the following documents with the IIFT application form:

  • Recent passport-size photo against light colour background
  • The photo should not be more than 3 months’ old
  • Scanned signature with a black pen on a white background
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/PwD certificate if applicable)
  • Photo ID issued by the Government of India

IIFT form correction window will be opened after the conclusion of application process. The form correction dates will be announced along with the registration schedule, which is expected in September 2023. During that period, candidate will be allowed to update the following details in their IIFT 2024 application form:

  • Photo
  • Signature
  • Mistake in identification information
  • Educational information
  • Double fee payment

No other field of the IIFT application form 2024 will be editable. Thus, candidates must fill their IIFT application forms carefully in the first attempt itself. They should cross check each and every field of the application form

No, there is no discount in IIFT application fees for OBC candidates. Only SC/ST/PwD candidates can avail discount on IIFT application fee. As per the latest notification, the IIFT entrance exam application fee for OBC candidates is INR 2,500, same as that for General category candidates. The fee amount that the SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay is INR 1,250. Every candidate has to pay the fee at the time of application form submission and in online mode only. IIFT exam application form is released at official website. Here's the process to fill the form:

  • Go to IIFT website
  • Click on 'new candidate registration'
  • Enter basic details to create a login
  • Use application number and password which has been generated to log in
  • Fill personal and academic details
  • Upload passport size photo and signature
  • pay the fee to complete the process

No, there is no age bar on appearing in IIFT entrance exam. Any candidate with a bachelor's degree from a recognised university having scored a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate can appear for IIFT entrance exam. The minimum score criteria for SC/ST/PwD candidates is 45 per cent aggregate. Final year graduation students can also appear in the exam. The exam is for MBA degree so a fresh graduate as well as a working professionals of junior, middle or senior levels can also appear for the exam. The IIFT entrance exam will not be conducted this year, for admission to the batch of 2025-27. The selection of candidates will be be based on CAT 2024 scores. 

Till 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) used to conduct the entrance exam on behalf of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi.
