In 2018 Admission is through counselling based on the score obtained in JEE Advanced and 12th score of 75% marks. Seats Available :-
B.Tech. (Aerospace Engineering) = 60
B.Tech. (Avionics) = 60
Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M. S. /M.Tech. ). = 20
For Gen category 20%, for OBC 18% and for SC/ST 10% in JEEadv to be eligible to get shortlisted for selection for admission, so more you score more chance to get selected for admission. First try to qualify in JEE main & then do hard to score decent marks, because there are limited seats in IIST. 1. A 10+2 examination (Pre-University Board Examination) with physics, chemistry, and Mathematics that are recognized by any State Board / Central Board (with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks).

Jobs for Aeronautical engineering students after passing out in core competencies are very very limited. So, I would advise you to take up CSE or mechanical if that choice is available.
