Civil is much better than IEM in RVCE, Bangalore, as IEM course is introduced new under VTU also outside Karnataka, Placements:
About 85% of students are placed every year. The highest salary offered was 4 Lacs per month. Least salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month. The average salary offered was around Rs 70,000 per month. The top recruiting companies like Tata Steel, L&T, etc. , visited the campus. They offered many roles. The highest salary package offered in civil course was 48 LPA. Andhra University Engineering College Visakhapatnam, Regional Engineering College Warangal, Kothagudem School of Mines KTDM, Osmania University of Hyderabad, Bapatla Engineering College Bapatla and all the private engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana respectively are the best industrial engineering colleges.

Yes you can pursue the AMIE course. The AMIE is a recognised degree by MHRD of India and acceptable in all leading department and Institutions for employment and higher education purpose.

Production engineering branch has more better scope in terms of placement but limited opportunity compared to mechanical engineering. Other than this, you can do GATE from both these branches. Better to go for production engineering.
