IHM Mumbai and IHM Hyderabad both accept the scores of NCHMT JEE for admissions to BSc courses. Hence, the admission process is almost identical for both institutions, as the first requirement is candidates must complete their higher senior secondary with decent scores, then they must appear for NCHMT JEE, followed by centralised counselling. Therefore, it is hard to determine which institute it is easier to get admission into BSc courses.

For admissions candidates are required to qualify the basic eligibility criteria first that requires a minimum score of 50% in BSc HHA or relevant degree and secured a valid score/ rank in NCHMCT MSc JEE.

However, if we compare both institutes on their ranking in IHM, then IHM Chennai has been ranked on the number 5th by India Today. On the other hand, IHM Mumbai has been ranked 3rd by India Today. Hence, the institute with a higher ranking can be more competitive to get admission, compared to an institute with a lower ranking. However, the difference in ranking between both of the colleges is not very considerable. So, candidates can choose any of the institutes according to their location preferences.

The Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai offers a variety of programs, one of which is the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The three-year course costs around INR 4,41,225.

SC category students who are domiciled in Maharashtra and whose family income is less than 2.5 Lacs a year can apply for scholarship. The students may get the Maharashtra State Scholarship, which would cover most of the tuition fees.
