For the Design Aptitude Test, there isn't much that you can do. The first and most important requirement is that you have a talent for design. The NID papers are designed in such a way that only those who have a creative side will be able to clear them.
The question paper is a mix of creativity, general knowledge, and logical thinking. You need to be aware of the latest news and make it a habit to read the newspaper every day. After clearing that, you'll have to prepare for the studio test and the PI (personal interview). The studio test judges your material handling and creativity.
