IPMAT

The eligibility criteria for IPMAT 2019 is as follows: The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% in class 10th/SSC and class 12th/ HSC or equivalent examination in case of General and NC-OBC category. Also, the candidate should be of maximum 20 years on July 31, 2019.
An entrance examination follows, to test the applicant's aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics. Shortlisted candidates appear for personal interviews. The interview panel comprises well qualified professors from IIM Indore and other prestigious institutions. IPMAT is a national level test conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore for admissions to its five-year regular undergraduate academic programme. Correct answer would fetch 4 marks and a wrong answer would deduct 1mark. This year, they have incorporated some changes. 20 questions out of 60 questions in QA will be short-answer questions, i.e. there will be no options. The dates for 2019 exam are yet to be out. Given above are the dates of last year's exam for reference purpose only. The dates will be updated for the upcoming exam soon after the schedule is out.

Integrated programme in Management Aptitude Test IPMAT is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore. The national level test is a gateway for admission to the 5 year Integrated programme in Management offered at IIM Indore. IPMAT 2019 schedule has not been released yet. In 2018, the examination was conducted in computer-based mode on May 11, 2018. Candidates who clear the examination will further be called in for the personal interview rounds. The final selection of students shall be done thereafter. The programme is spread across a period of 5 years, and consists of 15 terms. Every year constitutes of 3 terms of 3 months duration. The eligibility criteria for IPMAT 2019 is as follows:
1. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% in class 10th/SSC and class 12th/ HSC or equivalent examination in case of General and NC-OBC category. Also, the candidate should be of maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2019.
2. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% in class 10th/SSC and class 12th/ HSC or equivalent examination in case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) category.
3. Earlier, the candidate should have had Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12th/ HSC or equivalent examinations. However, this criteria has now been removed. Candidates who do have Mathematics as their core subject can also apply for the examination.

Strategy for preparing IPMAT:
1. All the questions in IPMAT are concept driven. Hence thorough understanding of the topics is very much required to tackle the questions in IPMAT. Prepare the concepts thoroughly and revise them regularly
2. IPMAT checks your knowledge and is all about managing time in the examination. Hence it is necessary to give mocks in actual test taking conditions which will help you to score well
3. Once you give the mocks, analyze the mocks thoroughly. This will help you to assess your Strengths & Weakness and you can devote extra time and effort to improve the weak areas.
4. Practice does make a man perfect, it is all about practicing and how quickly and accurately you solves the questions. Hence, it is necessary to practice and study regularly.
5.60% of the papers from Quantitative Aptitude section. The questions will be from all the topics of maths, hence it is necessary to concentrate on this section and score well. All the Best.
