HBTI Kanpur is a state government institute of Uttar Pradesh state.
The admission to B.Tech. courses at HBTI Kanpur is done on the basis of merit in
U.P. State Engineering Entrance Examination I.e. UPSEE.
The 10% of the total intake is filled on the basis of merit in AIEEE (students of UP only may apply).
There is no provision of admission in HBTI Kanpur, through IIT-JEE rank.
You can't appear the UPSEE counselling on the basis of IIT-JEE score.
If you are a UP domicile student and you have appeared AIEEE or UPSEE then only
you can apply for admission in HBTI Kanpur

A rank under top 8000 is required to get into IITs
There are total 11000 seat across 23 IITs, in which they are to be filled up with general students and category students.

Yes, students are allowed a break of at least 2 hours in between Jee Advanced paper 1 and paper 2.
So that, students can relax and do refreshments during that time.

JEE Advanced 2015 Cut Offs: According to the official website, the cut offs for JEE Advanced 2015 have been revised. And the same is now available online. The qualifying marks and cut offs have been revised for all the ranks lists including the list for preparatory courses.
Earlier, JEE Advanced 2015 cut offs were released on June 2. Take a look at the JEE Advanced 2015 cut offs, which were released earlier.
Besides revised cut offs, the institute has also declared the final answer keys of JEE Advanced 2015 after considering feedback from the public.

It is very difficult for you to get Indian Institute of Technology Chennai at the above mentioned rank. You can't try in spot round. Keep your hope high and expectations low.

If you are a General category student, then you need very good marks in your boards to get into NIT. But, the chances are slim, still you can definitely wait for the spot round: it can work wonders.

You need to score 70+ in JEE Advanced to get admission in IITs.
If you score more than 100, then you will get upper IITs.
And, a score of 150+ will fetch you admission in you.
