With an 82.121 percentile in JEE Main, getting admission into National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli is highly unlikely through general category quotas, as its cutoffs are usually much higher (often above 98–99 percentile). Even with home state or reserved categories, chances remain very slim.
However, you still have good options. Universities like Lovely Professional University offer quality engineering programs, modern infrastructure, and scholarships based on entrance tests like LPUNEST. LPU is known for industry exposure, placements, and diverse courses, making it a solid alternative if top NITs aren't feasible.

With a 98.5 percentile in JEE Main, you have a strong chance of getting into good NITs, but admission to National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli depends on your category, home state quota, branch preference, and yearly cutoff trends. For highly competitive branches like CSE at NIT Trichy, the cutoff is usually very high, especially for General category students. You may still have chances in other branches or categories through JoSAA counselling. NIT Puducherry BTech admissions are highly unlikely with 75 percentile in JEE Main, especially for the General category. The institute sees a high cutoff for BTech's All India Quota. With 75 percentile, admission may be possible for reserved categories. Students can check the last year cutoff to know more.
