However, candidates cannot seek admission to BTech at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, unless they appear for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). Students who secure above the 75 percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for counselling immediately. Further, they should decide their preferences before the start of the JEE Main counselling.

No, VIT Chennai does not accept JEE Main score to grant admission to its BTech programme. As per the VIT Chennai BTech admission process, candidates must appear and qualify for VITEEE exam with a valid score. This is the only entrance exam valid for admission to a full-time BTech course at VIT Chennai.
