If you are getting good NIT then you should go for that. Dual degree is also good option but doing B.Tech from NIT is far better than that.

According to last year's cut-off, if you are a general category student then you can't as last year the last admitted rank was somewhere in 1300. But, you are SC/ST or OBC, then you can easily get it.

After appearing for NCHMCT All India Entrance Test, candidates need to first wait for results to be declared. Once NCHMCT JEE 2018 results are announced, candidates are allotted a rank and basis this rank they are called for NCHMCT JEE counselling. NCHMCT JEE counselling process has three rounds. The first two rounds of counselling are web based whereas the third round is called Spot Round wherein aspirants need to physically appear at the counselling centre allotted to them. Please specify your question clearly. But what I understand I will answer for that. If you are asking about the college admission through JEE Mains in engineering colleges. So, you will get admission in any engineering college with any marks but if you want government and good private colleges along with favourite branch. So, you need to work hard and need to get best rank. Otherwise, you will get below or average college of engineering.
All the best.
