It's not mandatory 2 appear in advance.
Bt if u have decided 2 take a drop n prepare 4 jee advanced. then giving advanced paper will b beneficial 4 u. u may get good idea. n gain some confidence. n also. know about ur mistakes.

sorry u r not even eligible for counseling in dtu
coz u haven't clear the jee mains exam at all
.
if u r from reserved categories like ine from Sc/St u may definetly get admitted to one of the branch in dtu

The colleges details would be revealed in the counselling, however you may get a chance in the first counselling, although top 5 IHM is not possible however you may get the other IHM's
