As per the JEE website, the photograph must indicate the name along with the date of taking the photograph. The candidate should not be wearing any hat, cap or goggles by any chance while taking the photographs. Clear spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos, pictures from Mobile phones, laptop are strictly unacceptable.
Candidates must keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for the use at the time of entrance of examination, counselling and admission. The scanned images must be in the JPG/JPEG format only.
Size of photgraph must be between 4KB to 40KB
Photograph must be clear, as unclear photograph may lead to rejection of JEE Main 2016 Application form.
Signature Specification
On a plain A-4 Size sheet draw a rectangle of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm
Put your signature inside the rectangular box
Scan it and crop the rectangular signature box neatly
File size must be between 1KB to 30 KB
Thumb Impression Specification
For Girl : Right Hand Thumb Impression
For Boy : Left Hand Thumb Impression
On a plain A-4 Size sheet draw a rectangle of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm
Put your thumb impression inside the rectangular box
Scan it and crop the rectangular thumb impression box neatly
File size must be between 1KB to 30 KB
