Kashmir University is a public university and ranks 53rd among the top universities in India (NIRF 2022).
The basic eligibility criteria for taking admission into the B.Tech. in Civil Engineering course of the university are as follows:
For open merit, the candidate must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a 45% aggregate score.
Also, candidates have to qualify for JEE Mains with a decent percentile, usually above 70.
Then you have to report to the admission department with detailed information about your board exam certificates and JEE Main Score Card.
Later, the university will publish the list of selected candidates on its website.
There is no separate JEE cut-off but a comprehensive name list of qualified candidates on the basis of board marks, JEE percentile, and seat availability.

However, you may get admission to the B.E. in Chemical or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering branch as the cutoff for these courses has been more than 1,71,000.

The National Testing Agency NTA conducts the Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main to shortlist candidates for admission into premier institutes like IIT, NIT, and IIIT. The JEE Main Exam is usually conducted in two sessions, so there is the possibility of a difference in the difficulty level of the questions. To overcome this issue, normalization of marks is done, which is a comparative score. The JEE percentile score is calculated based on how an applicant has performed compared to all other applicants who appeared for the exam. Based on an analysis of previous year's scores, your JEE percentile for 148 marks could be estimated to be above 90, and your estimated Common Merit List rank could be around 48700. However, this is just an estimate and the actual rank will vary.
