The schedule for JKCET 2026 counselling is not announced yet. The registration for counselling is expected to start in April/May post declaration of results. Candidates are advised to follow the Shiksha page and the JKCET official website for updates on the counselling schedule.

The allotment of seats in JKCET counselling will be basis the choices filled by the candidate and the rank. It is advised that candidates fill as many choices they can to increase their chances of getting a college. Also, the choices filled must be in order of preference.

Candidates will need to submit xerox copies of class 11 and 12 marksheet, Aadhar, and category certificate. Along with these, candidates also have to provide JKCET admit card and result copy.

The time required to prepare for JKCET exam depends on students and their basic understanding of topics covered in the syllabus of JKCET. On an avergae, it would require around six months to prepare for JKCET.

Candidates preparing for JKCET 2026 exam are advised to start their preparation from their class 12 books. It will help in building the basic concepts. After learning the basic concepts, candidates can take help from additional books like HC Verma for Physics and Arihant Publications books for Maths. O.P. Tandon for Chemistry can also be referred.

No, candidates who are not satisfied with their scores can not challenge the JKCET result. The facility to challenge is provided only in the provisional answer key.
Candidates can however, submit a request for re-totalling of marks within 3 days of the announcement of results by paying INR 1000 per subject.

Candidates who wish to raise objection in JKCET answer key can submit their challenge within three days of the release of answer key. The objection has to be submitted in written, as per the format provided in the answer key notice. Candidates will also have to submit supporting document for their challenge. The fees for challenging the JKCET answer key is INR 1000 payable at POS machine in BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu.

As per the JKCET information brochure, OSC stands for other social caste. The candidates of OSC are not covered under any reservation category.

Yes, children of defense forces are eligibile to apply for JKCET. All such candidates are admitted under a special reservation of 3% quota.
