Well, according to me, going to the college and pursuing degree is best and effective than online or distance education. In distance education, you can't learn as effective as college goers. In distance education, it keeps on going as per the syllabus, and if you encounter any doubt, you need to write it down and send them and wait until they reply. If you are learning through a video, you have to rewind the video again and again and watch the concept carefully until and unless you understand the concept. Now, the first and foremost thing is, about the placements in long distance education? In colleges, there will be some placements provided to the students. Colleges provide industrial visits, which gives a clear cut clarity about how production house works and how an industry runs. Internships are being provided to the students of the college. But, coming to the long distance education, the question is, what kind of placements will they'll provide? How can they provide? Through which means will they provide? In a distance education the students are provided with just theoretical knowledge. So, finally I want to say that distance education is only for certification purpose. But, if you really want to learn something, then Mount Carmel College is the best. All the best for your future.

While both of the colleges are quite comparable in terms of placements, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Bangalore has a slight edge over ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai in terms of reputation and rank index.
But, if you are from Mumbai, I will advise you to take up ITM, Navi Mumbai as the placements are almost equal for both the colleges and the ROI will be pretty decent for ITM.
The average placement for XIME is around Rs 6.4 lakhs while the average placements for ITM come to around Rs 6 lakhs.
