KMC Mangalore BSc admission is entrance-based. The institute accepts the rank and scores obtained by candidates in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). However, candidates must note that in the final merit list, only 50% weightage is given to the MET score and rest 50% weightage is given to the marks obtained by candidates in the Class 12 examinations.

On April 10, 2024, the results of the Karnataka 2nd PUC were announced. The Karnataka Board declared the results of the Karnataka Second Session 2024 on its official webpage. The following documents are to be submitted to Maharani College office at time of admission:
- Duly filled application with a passport size photograph pasted to it
- Three passport size photographs
- Attested copy of the SSLC/10th marks card
- Attested copy of the qualifying exam (II PUC/12th Grade)
