The competition for engineering admission in Mangalore top colleges will likely be difficult since their cutoff ranks generally remain lower than 80,789. The cutoff ranks at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering used 101,405 as the highest number while setting 63,646 as the lowest in 2024 for their different branches.

With 83,000 rank in KCET, you can hope for opportunities of admission in a few of the engineering colleges of Bangalore and Mangalore for the ECE/CSE branches. Some of the likely opportunities include Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Canara Engineering College, Mangalore, Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Mangalore, Bangalore Institute of Technology, and Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. To get admission to the B.Pharmacy course at RKDF University, applicants are required to have passed their 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects, and Mathematics or Biology. The minimum aggregate percentage is 50%. For reserved category applicants, it is a 45% requirement. The admission is merit-based from the qualifying exam and can also take scores from entrance exams related to the course such as CUET or PAT.

NIE Mysore has released the BE cutoffs for the year 2024. As per the latest available data, the closing rank cutoff for the General-All India based on KCET scores ranged from 12747 to 103761. Moreover, the BE course with the highest competition was Electronics and Communication Engineering. Earlier, in 2023, the cutoff for the same category of students ranged from 9018 to 82211.

Yes, students with valid KCET scores are eligible for admissions to NIE Mysore BE programme.  It is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The fee to appear for the exam ranges from INR 250 to INR 750, depending on the category of the applicant.

Many BE-offering colleges in Bangalore accepts KCET for admission to the BE programme. One of those institute is NIE Mysore. As per official sources, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the KCET exam dates 2025. As per that, the exam is scheduled to be held on Apr 16 and Apr 17,  2025.

Based on the KCET 2024 cutoff data, the closing rank for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) was 64,941.
