Yes, KTH Royal Institute of Technology provides on-campus accommodation opportunities to all their students. Various accommodation options are available to students with single room and shared room facility. Also, internet, electricity and water charges are included in the rent.

Students applying for housing facilities are guaranteed accommodation for up to 11 months if they meet the following criteria:

• A student must be a tuition fee-paying pursuing a full bachelor's or master's programme at KTH (including master's students holding a scholarship covering the tuition fee)
• Students pursuing joint master's programme in EIT Digital, EIT Innoenergy, Molecular Techniques in Life Science, Nordig, NordicFiveTech, COSSE, NordSecMob, ME3, THRUST and SAP.
• The application for KTH accommodation usually opens in May for students commencing their studies in the Autumn semester. Students admitted must pay the first instalment of their tuition fee before applying for housing. The accommodation offered through KTH accommodation is located around Stockholm within commuting distance of all campuses.

KTH Campus: The main KTH Campus is situated in the northern part of central Stockholm, on the edge of the Royal National Park. The campus was established in 1917 when KTH moved into its iconic courtyard building by renowned architect Erik Lallerstedt. KTH campus covers an area the size of the Old Town.

KTH Kista: KTH Solna is situated north of Stockholm and is an important national hub for research within various life Science disciplines. Frontline technical expertise is combined with advanced knowledge of translational medicine and molecular bioscience.

KTH Södertälje: KTH Södertälje is situated south of Stockholm in an area with a strong connection to the manufacturing and production industry. The activities run here by KTH are undergoing a major expansion in the form of new courses and a new research organisation in the field of Sustainable Production.

KTH Flemingsberg: KTH Flemingsberg is situated south of central Stockholm in an area renowned for its academic institutions and strong growth. Flemingsberg is, moreover, one of northern Europe’s most prominent centres of medical engineering – in terms of both research and industrial activity.

The KTH India Scholarship is aimed specifically at students from India. All the scholarships for international students at KTH cover the tuition fee of a one or two year master's programme. All Indian students applying for scholarships must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• One must be a fee-paying student applying for a master's programme at KTH as the first priority.
• Students should have completed UG programme in India and must be an Indian citizen.

As the scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of academic excellence, therefore only students who meet the admission requirements of the programme applied for are eligible for a scholarship.

Yes, all the students aspiring to study at KTH must pay the application fee of SEK 900 through University Admissions. This fee must be paid before the end of January, since the assessment of the application is dependent on fee payment. For each semester, the tuition fee will be charged in advance and since it is based on price per credit, thus, tuition fee will increase if a student takes more than 30 ECTS credits per semester.

The invoice of the payment for the first semester will be sent by email. It is important to note that if the tuition fee is not paid within the deadline, student might will lose their place in the programme.

To be accepted for doctoral (PhD) studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, all interested applicants must meet the general entry requirements and any special requirements outlined in the position announcement. Only students meeting these following requirements qualify as the potential PhD candidate: 

• A degree at the advanced level (master's/second cycle) or
• Fulfilled course requirements corresponding to at least 240 credits, of which a minimum of 60 credits are at the advanced level (master's/second cycle) or
• Otherwise acquired largely equivalent knowledge

Note: KTH on its own discretion may exempt an individual applicant from the general entry requirements if there is an extraordinary reason to do so.
