Lakehead University

Lakehead University accepts country-specific qualifications from Indian students and they must be fulfilled by the applicants in order to secure an enrollment in the university. These entry requirements comprise of the following:

• State Higher Secondary Certificate awarded by a State Board of Higher Secondary Education; OR
• India and Delhi Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education; OR
• India School Certificate awarded by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations.
• Score requirement: Minimum 70% overall final average (Canadian equivalent). Minimum 75% is required for the Applied Life Sciences and the Environmental Sustainability Lakehead-Georgian partnership programs.
• Optional Andhra Pradesh Course (credit transfer available).

At Lakehead University, all documents submitted during the application process need to be original drafts and in English or translated into English. Students can refer to the listings below for Lakehead University's admission requirements according to the choice of degree:

Undergraduate aspirants:

• Official transcripts;
• AP score report;
• English proficiency score report;
• Letters of Recommendation (LORs);
• Supplementary documents such as essays or portfolios, as per course requirements;
• Financial documents; and
• Copy of passport.

Graduate aspirants:

• Official transcripts;
• Standardized score reports;
• English proficiency score report;
• Essays or Statment of Purpose (as per course requirement);

At Lakehead University, the co-op option programme allows students to earn and learn at the same time. For this purpose, Lakehead University has partnered with over 140 national and international companies, including Blackberry, Bosch, IBM, AECON, Grant Thornton, Bombardier, Canada Revenue Agency, Honda, and more. Usually, students earn anywhere between CAD 16.55 and CAD 30 per hour.
