Prospective students can apply to Lakehead University through an authorized Lakehead representative or directly to the university via the corresponding application form to the program they are interested in studying. Lakehead University accepts country-specific qualifications from Indian students and they must be fulfilled by the applicants in order to secure an enrollment in the university. These entry requirements comprise of the following:

  • State Higher Secondary Certificate awarded by a State Board of Higher Secondary Education; OR

For this purpose, Lakehead University has partnered with over 140 national and international companies, including Blackberry, Bosch, IBM, AECON, Grant Thornton, Bombardier, Canada Revenue Agency, Honda, and more. Usually, students earn anywhere between CAD 16.55 and CAD 30 per hour.

Yes, Lakehead University offers Academic English Programs (AEP) to applicants who meet the university's admission requirements but do not meet the English language proficiency requirements. Such students are automatically considered for admission through AEP. Academic English Programs help students meet the English proficiency of IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 80, as per course requirements.
