Yes, you can change the branch, but the chances of securing the admission in a different branch through the online process is difficult. In the counselling round you'll get the college if any left. Good Luck.

Dear Anmol, You would need to first specify the course to identify the colleges that offer the same. For instance IILM University is accepting student applications under the lateral entry/migration scheme for various undergraduate programmes for the 2020-21 academic year. Under this scheme, a student can migrate from another university in India and abroad with a partially completed programme and complete the remaining programme at IILM in order to earn the degree. Initially, you might not get hostel allotment as already regular students get alloted and stays in the second year hostel.
But there's chance of some vacancies so you might contact the proctoral section for details. If there's vacancy then you might get a chance to stay in hostel.
Ekse you have to manage in nearby PGs or mess. That is also affordable.
